Uniform Policy:
Boys and Girls are to wear Maroon shirts. These shirts may be plain Maroon or the Wesley Ray Elementary uniform shirt. In the winter, the students may wear long sleeve Maroon shirts, or sweatshirts.
The Boys and Girls are to wear Navy uniform pants/shorts. Girls may also wear Navy uniform jumpers.
The students may wear any type of Maroon jacket that is in the school color.
We are strongly enforcing the uniform policy for 1-5 grade students, during the 2007-2008 School Year.
The students will wear the following to meet uniform/dress code policy.
Girls
- Navy Blue Uniform pants, skirts, dresses, skorts, shorts or jumpers.
- Uniform Pants must be a Dickie Style (not necessarily the Dickie Brand.
- not excessively baggy, no cuffs, hip hugger/low riders, bell bottom flares, designs/imprints nor sequence, and belt loops are optional.
- Polo Shirts must be maroon with 2-3 buttons on a collar.
- Undershirts must be worn, but must be white or maroon, the designated school color.
- Navy Blue uniform shorts, skirts, jumpers, Capri, and skorts must be in close proximity to the knee (no cuffs or cargo pockets).
- Shoes must be closed in (no slides or flip flops).
- If pants have belt loops, the students must wear a black or brown belt.
Boys
- Navy Blue Uniform Pants or shorts.
- Uniform pants must be Dickie style (not necessarily the Dickie brand).

The remainder of the uniform policy in the student code of conduct is still being enforced.
Dress Code Regulations:
1. All students are to wear the designed uniform as outlined in the uniform policy.
2. Wearing uniforms which are oversized, baggy, sagging, or extremely tight fitting is prohibited. Pockets on the lower legs or exaggerated size pant bottoms will not be allowed. The waistband of all pants shall be located on the natural waistline of the student.
3. Pants have to be hemmed and side slits or holes are not allowed.
4. Belts are to be one size larger than the waist. All students must wear belts with clothing that has belt loops.
5. Shirts must be worn tucked in at all times.
6. All shorts, skirts, and jumpers must me in close proximity to the knee.
7. Shoes that may be worn include tennis, casual, or dress shoes. Shoes must be worn to school with socks or stockings for girls. Shoes without back straps are not allowed.
8. Body piercing is prohibited. (Example: nose, lip, tongue, eyebrows, etc., and ears for boys)
9. All caps, hats, skull caps, and bandannas are banned from school campus during regular school hours, except when a medical condition, religious belief, or school announcements so warrant.
10. New students or students who transfer from schools within the parish will be given two weeks from their start dates to obtain the required school uniforms.
